Welcome to How Leaders Lead. I'm Kula Callahan and it is time for another edition of Three More Questions with David Novak. In these episodes, we debriefed David's conversation that he had with the previous week's guests. And David, today it's all about Chipotle. You just interviewed Scott Boatwright, who's a CEO, and I loved this interview, partly because I love Chipotle.

And mainly because Scott is such a dynamite leader. You can just tell that he's super operational and he holds his team to the highest standards. Yeah, this is a guy who's been a huge part of Chipotle's success. You know, he worked for Brian Nickel, who was obviously a fantastic CEO and just got promoted to go uh be the CEO at Starbucks. And in fact, before he went to Chipotle was the CEO of Taco Bell and did a great job working for me in in that job.

So, you know. Brian was terrific, but he had uh Scott at his side and they made a dynamic duo and now Scott is stepping up and taking on the CEO role and is having to learn new things besides just the operational role. He's learning how to be a CEO, dealing with Wall Street, you know, setting the vision, you know, and he's doing a good job of it. And Chipotle doesn't seem to be missing a beat. And he's very excited about the growth opportunities that they have, which are very, very considerable.

That is the first couple of minutes. The rest is $1.
