If you ever try to get people to buy something, by you know going door to door. You know that this can be demoralizing, it can be utterly exhausting, but this is exactly how Angie Hicks first tried to get her business off the ground back in 1995. And back then she was lucky to get like

Two takers a day. But of course, over the years, Angie's list grew to millions of members and hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. And the company's story has changed a little bit since we first ran this episode back in 2016, so we'll update you at the end, but for now. Enjoy.
