And I'm very pleased today to be speaking with Dr. Tatiana Seas about her book titled American Metropolis The Making of Mexico City, published by Cambridge University Press in twenty twenty six.

Now, this book has a ton of different things going on. We get to do deep dives into particular places and people within the city. We also kind of zoom out and look at the city overall, the connections between different people and places within and beyond the city, um, to really give a sense of kind of what this particular place was like. And doing it in a way where we get like individual stories and almost in some cases like the sound and the smell of what's going on, as well as understanding kind of bigger structural aspects. So it's a really interesting book that has, I think, a lot of ways into understanding Mexico City. Um and there's a lot to understand.
