#477: Yuval Noah Harari on The Story of Sapiens, Forging the Skill of Awareness, and The Power of Disguised Books

My guest today, many of you will know the name, and those who don't will know much more about him shortly, Professor Uval Noah Harari. is a historian and best selling author who is considered one of the most influential public intellectuals in the world. I know that's setting a high bar, but his popular books Might ring a bell. Sapiens, a brief history of humankind. Homodus. A brief history of tomorrow and twenty one lessons for the twenty first century have sold. Twenty seven and a half million copies roughly in sixty languages. I'll let that sink in for people. Twenty seven point five million copies.

That is a lot of square footage. Orbic feet, cubic meters. They've been recommended by Barack Obama, Chris Evans, Bill Gates, and many others. He's also behind Sapiens, A Graphic History, which we'll talk about, a brand new graphic novel series in collaboration with comic artist David Vander Muelen, I think. Co-writer, and Daniel Casanave, the illustrator. This beautifully illustrated series is a radical reworking of his book, Sapiens, subtitle. A brief history of human kind.
