You hear about these companies that are going from like zero to a hundred million in like two years or three years or whatever. Like the equation is very simple from a company perspective. I feel like I can rule the world, I know I can be what I want to I'm putting my all in it like my days off. On the road, less travel, never looking at it. What's up? Uh we got my buddy Imad here. He's the founder of Mercury, an awesome company that I use and love and Is uh You've created a a billion dollar company, dude. You did it. You did the thing that all of us when we were living in San Francisco and and in our twenties trying to build these companies, you finally did it. How does that feel?
Uh It's funny you say that, though you know, we raised uh series B in twenty twenty one. Uh which is actually Like four months uh after we did our last podcast together at my first Median in January twenty twenty one.
Uh and then we're just announcing our series C, uh, which is a three point five billion valuation with Sequoia leading. But in twenty twenty one when I raised my RAM, I was a at a one point six billion valuation. And it was so weirdly anti climactic. Uh because it's like I'd started as a entrepreneur in two thousand and six. So twenty twenty one, what is that, like fifteen years. So I've been working towards this objective of like building a unicorn company, right? Like that's As you say, like you I moved out when I was like twenty two, and like that's all it was about for me for a long time. It was like getting this like really successful company.
